Back From Adepticon...

It was a fun weekend. Got to talk briefly to the usual Wisconsin and Illinois gamers that I normally see, along with Dave Pauwels, Dave Taylor, Chris Borer, Bennett Blaylock Doan, and hang with my buddy Mike Butcher. Played my first games of WAB on Sunday teamed up with Mike's Greeks which are pictured. Mike had a really cool game against Bennett's Britons, which may be the best looking army I have ever seen, also pictured. On Sunday Mike and I got to square off against Dave Pauwels and Jamie's greeks and Etruscans, both beautiful armies, was pleasure to finally play against Dave, whose elephant just owned my Romans.

Adepticon this weekend....

I'll be making what has become an annnual event for me, down to the Chicago area for Adepticon this coming weekend. Been going to this event quite awhile now and it keeps getting better and bigger every year, adding more and more things to do. This year I'll be playing Warhammer Ancients for the first time in the team event, teamed up with Mike Butcher and his Greeks on Sunday. Should be interesting and fun.

Rome is Coming

Taken awhile to get this far, but the Romans are ready for Adepticon this coming weekend. I'll be teamed up with the other half of the Grumpy Old Coots, the old coot himself Mike Butcher and his greeks. So if you are around at Adepticon and see us say hi. More pics of them will be coming soon, just need a chance to take some decent pics of them. This is one of the few Foundry minis that I'll be using.

Nothing spectacular, I really did not spend a lot of time on these models, did not convert anything, and did not paint them to my normal tabletop level. This is primarily just a play army. But more on that later.

Orc Shaman Conversion.....

Wah...another post...can you tell I'm getting caught up.

Continuing to work on the fantasy orcs. This time a WIP of a shaman. I had some feet left over from an old conversion, so I though I would put them to use on this guy.

Kit bashing and building a Tzeentch Disc ...Step 1

Getting a break from greenskins in to work on my WoC is refreshing. This is the start of my disc for a Tzeentch hero. Haven't decided yet if he is an exalted or sorcerer. By the time I'm done I might just magentize the arm carry a staff or a weapon. I seriously didn't like the existing disc, so I had to come up with something that is a bit meaner looking, this will suit. Building up the disc a bit with apoxie sculp and then overlaying that with GS.

Chaos Knight Centaurs...WIP

Back when you could combine beastmen, chaos warriors, and demons all in one happy family of chaos, I would run some chaos knights that were essentially heavily armored centaurs and resembled my beastmen. Back then I used the old Empire/Chaos horse with a gor torso to make the bulk of the centaur. It worked well, but now the new chaos horse is so much more detailed and much larger. So I'm going to return to that concept. The plan is to make a couple of different semi-blank torsos then cast them in resin to bulk out the army and add a bunch of details.

More on this project soon, and yes it'll be used in my Mutant Marauder WoC army.

Nurgle Sorcerer

Finally got some time to work on some of my own stuff, planning to expand my Mutant Marauder starting with the Heroes: This is the first one a nurgle sorcerer in WIP form. Still need to work on the staff, to make it a bit more nurgly.

More expansion of my Mutant Marauders in the near future.
