Centurions! .....Painted

The Centurions for the unit that I painted up.  The models are good, but a little stale in the pose.

Definitely fun and easy to paint.

And these two will be going up for sale also.  Shields included, loose, and no flock on the bases.

Additional Roman Commanders Painted

These next two are pretty cool models also.  Enjoyed painting them.  Also have several single painted shields for them.

I'm happy with the paint on them.  Left the bases open for the future owner to flock.
I really like this guy.  There is something mean about the pose.

Again these will be going up for sale.

Roman Commander Painted

You did not think I would paint an entire unit without some command and centurions did you?
I didn't think so.  This is probably my favorite model out of the group of Caesarian Romans that I painted up.  Very cool pose.

Like the unit, I left the basing open.  This model is going up for sale also.

Painted up some Foundry Romans

Been working on these guys for awhile.  A large unit of 24 Romans.
These are really nice miniatures to paint even if there are very few poses.
I gave them a very generic base, something that someone else can add their own flock to, as I will be putting these up for sale.
They are mounted on GF9 laser cut wooden bases.
As you can see below some of the  minis are multi-based, and some are single 20 mm based.
 A few closeups:

And no I did not forget the shields.  I'm going to leave them loose in case the buyer wants to add transfers, much easier to apply them to a loose shield.

A few more Vikings

Like the Crusaders I still have a bit more work to do in adding static grass and such, but these are essentially done.  They are a mix of parts from three different manufacturers.  The two on the left are Warlord Games barbarians with Gripping Beast plastic Viking parts.  The two handed dane axe man holding the axe high, uses arms from the Warfactory Games plastic kit.

The Warlord Games shirtless model, I'll use as a Berserker.

Second batch of Crusader foot knights

This is the second batch, still needs the static grass and floc added, but basically done.  I have some spearmen already painted in the same scheme.
These are all Conquest Games plastics.  Next up some more Vikings.

My Crusades army gets some additions

I had a fairly small unit of foot for my crusades army, so I wanted to add some more models to that unit.  Most of the models, all of the ones with swords are Conquest Games plastics Normans. I still need to add the static grass and floc that you see on the Spearman, but they are basically done.
The spearman is a converted Perry model.  The model next to him with the axe is a model that I cannot remember, the axe is from the Gripping Beast plastic Viking range.
The Conquest Plastics are not the best quality plastic kit out there, the details are a bit shallow, but they are workable with a bit of effort.  Good comparisons of the metal models to the plastics shown below.

Even more to come.

A new Crusader

I have a fairly good sized batch of minis to add to my Crusader army, this is the first mini from that batch that is mostly made up of the plastic Conquest Games foot knights.
Paint scheme fits with the crusaders, just need to add all of the grass tufts to the bases and this piece will be ready to be added to the unit.
More to follow.

WIP for 2+ Years

This thing (Avatars of War mini with some GW conversion pieces) has been sitting on my desk for what seems and eternity, finally finished up the basic mini.  Now I need to find a shield for it.

Up Coming...

Just prime coated about 100+ miniatures, enough to keep me busy for a couple of months.
